just wondering what you guys thought was a fair price to change out a front wheel bearing on my 99 svt... has anyone had one replaced recently????if so how much did it run??? i normally do those kinds of things myself, but i don't have all the tools, nor the time to do it myself.... damn i miss my mustang with these kinds of repairs,a couple bucks and 10 minutes and it would be done..

Driver's side. $232.50 plus tax at a local indie. $90 for wheel bearing and $142.50 (1.5 hours?) for labor.

Look in to getting a remaned front hub from Stazi (a member on here) for MUCH MUCH MUCH cheaper than anywhere else.. then ALL you need is a torque wrench capable of 208-214 foot pounds of torque, and a few basic sockets, etc.
no pressing, etc, as the hub and bearing come pre-pressed.

Yes, but he doesn't have the time nor tools to do it. And you have to remove the knuckle and send it to Stazi. Can't do that if it is a daily driver.
Here is a wheel bearing post with Stazi's info in Wheels and Tires forum.

As long as you can remove the knuckle yourself, Napa will sell you a new bearing and press it in for $62.

yeah its my daily driver, and i don't really have time to mess with removing the knuckle,or have i really done it before,so i'd rather not mess with it....
i can probably get my brother to get it for me for cost from napa, and just have it put on somewhere....
i just wanted to get an idea of what the labor would cost...
thanx for the info....
