so how many have actually made their own poly insert mounts, or actually removed all the rubber and completely filled it with rubber? well my mounts are bad and is aggravating me since i have to drive it to lima, 3 1/2 hour trip for me, tomorrow with alot of jerking and vibrations. its a huge pain to get it rolling without alot of chatter and engaging to the next gear can slam if not done right.

now my mounts are very bad, but i know of many fords with a jerking problem even with good mounts. but anyways, im going to be filling my mounts since i cant readily get ahold of new mounts and i cant get the rear one because im told manauls dont come with a rear mount. so there are a few options, a 2 part polyurethane which at least one guy has used in a saturn group im in, or there are several 1 part tubed polyurethanes that work. i plan on just using the PL polyurethane that can be bought at lowes. im trying to figure out the shore hardness of the roofing urethane but am coming up empty. the polyurethane construction adhesive i heard works well so i might go with that.

so how many have filled their mounts, actually removed most or all the rubber to make their own, or would anyone like to know more on this?

Just carve out the stock rubber with whatever cutting tools you prefer (I used a box cutter and some needle nose pliers). Center the metal mount shaft in the mount case, and mask off one end with duct tape or whatever you prefer. Order 94A poly from mcmaster carr. Mix the two parts of the poly and pour into your carved out mount. Wait two days and reinstall. It's easy, Costs $30 for supplies, and takes a few hours of your time and two days without your car. Do it over a weekend and you should be great.
