I have Sirius and am very happy with it. I am curious about what people think of it or XM. Is anyone planning on getting it? Do your friends have it?
I'm thinking about purchasing some stock and I would like to get a feel for the future market.

I have xm and like it. A lot of people my age either have satellite radio or want to get it. Even though the market seems good, I'm not so sure I'd invest in either company. I'd do a lot and lot of research before you do. Last I heard, both were having money trouble.

I've had XM for over about 2 years now. I love it. I have an Alpine set-up in my car and then the home receiver in my house. It has tons of channels. I hate having to listen to regular radio now. Satellite radio is the only way to go.

Sirius has been out-selling XM ever since Howard Stern announced his move. XM just lost their exclusive "shock jock" show Opie and Anthony because they are going to start doing a morning show on regular FM radio. And they're losing Nascar after this season.

If you are going to invest, Sirius looks like it has more promise.

XM did however just add 7 more commercial free music channels, a few more clear channel channels, and is getting oprah in september.

6.5 million for XM. Bob Dylan is on his way to XM. Enough said. Plus even though O & A will be on regualr radio it might boost sales for XM. Lots of people still didn't know they were back on the radio.

Yeah, that's the idea. Sirius is on the rise and its stock price is pretty low. It could be a worthwhile "gamble."

Please, tell me that's not a highlight for XM now-a-days?

Sirius is fantastic...and I have yet to listen to Howie. As for sales, Sirius had a record year and continues to make ground on XM...but XM still leads with about 6.5 million subscriptions to Sirius' 4 mil.

Honestly, I can't live without it...I disabled the power antenna in the Contour because there is no need for FM and actually no longer have a need to burn music CD's.

If you really think there's potential, I'd go with Sirius...the Oprah comment above should be reason enough. I just think there's much better to invest in...
