i have a 2.5 contour, and for about a month it has been having a miss or bogg. it happens only when it is warm. some times it will happen at low steady acceleration and other times it will happen when you floor it. the problem is not undriveable but it annoying. i have changed the plugges , replaced the fuel filterl, cleaded the MAF, put injector cleraner throw, and did a fuel pressure test , when doing a pressure test what should i look for. with the key turned it read 15 psi then when started it read 42 psi. if thats not the problem could it be the injectors or plug wires or coil. if so how can i test these things. please help.

If they are the original wires throw them as far as you can from you - they are junk! Your year of tour should give you misfire codes - got code? Also remember - there is no such thing as 100K plugs (Yes, they may work that long but with the price of gas why keep them when the efficency is degraded?) There is no such thing as a maintenance free battery.
Tell us if you are getting misfire codes. The fuel pressure is usually 30 and idle and 40 running. Yours is a returnless system if you have a 99. I don't know the idle pressure for them off hand.

i just took the wires off and checked the ohms and they read from 8 volts to 16 so i think there good. after i put them on i drove about ten miles it was fine, it has been an on and off thing all along but it hasent ran this good for a couple months. ether the injector cleaner is helping or when i changed the plugs i did not have a wire on right. we will need to see if it happens again. another thing does any one know what the colors of the wires to test the injectors with out taking the manifold off. thanks

ps it is a 1999 and has 99800 miles on it

Last Saturday I replaced my #3 injector. It tested OK on my VOM but it was bad because the problem is totally gone. Sometimes you need a scope to find electrical bugs. Mine missed every so often for months. I had +4s and Magnacore wires which I replaced anyway in search of a solution. The miss started to effect the idle; that's when I finally caught it. When I pulled #3 wire from the coil pack there was no difference in the idle. So it was either the injector, the wiring, or the computer. The wiring color codes changed with the Ford retrofit, I wrote down the new ones when the manifold was off. Usually the problem is the injector since it is a moving part and gasoline deposits ruin them from the inside. Something the best filters can't remove.
