If you go the Mazdaspeed6 route make sure they workout the engine problems before you buy.

Leg GT is a good performance value. Most used ones are running in the 23-25k range... use the difference for some mods and have a 300hp sleeper.

Drove the Magnum Hemi and was very unimpressed.

Try an 05 GTO

SRT 4 is also on the way.

G35 doesn't have folding rear seats just fyi.

It would come down to either the GTI vs the Mzs3 imo.

If Pete is still selling his GTO; it would be a great buy, and there is arguably more usable room in the back seats than the 'tour. At least as far as I have noticed. Someone can/has sat behind me in the GTO. No one could ever sit behind me in the 'tour.

As to the SRT4: Are you sure want the love child of an Aztec and a Durango? It wasn't beat with the ugly stick; it IS the ugly stick (insert vomit greamlin here)

I'd go Evo over the 6. That's just me though.

MSRP does not mean sales price new. Likewise price listed on used car lots. Edmunds, KBB are good places to start for closer selling prices.

MS6 Base MSRP = $28,555 Invoice $26,393 minus whatever rebates/dealer cash availible.

Magnum RT entered the market $29,995 MSRP plus options, but base price was raised $750 by end of MY2005. $3k off for employee price plus at least $3k dealer cash availible.

GTO back seat is reserved for people <5'6" as there is no headroom like almost every other GM vehicle.

Has anyone actually sat in the back of any of the vehicles mentioned? Just because a vehicle is 4 doors does not mean 4 6-foot people would be comfortable.

Mini Cooper S actually has good room in the back seat, but PITA to get there and no truck w/ 4 people.

So, Grimes, figure out how tall your passengers are and how often they'll be in the back. I find very few sedans that can comfortably seat an adult behind my when I'm driving. I always have to move the seat up a little.
