hey all, im new here to contour.org, and already its helped me out with a bunch of stuff, thank you!!! but im hoping you could diagnose a small problem that im noticing.

('98 SVT 2.5L DOHC)
i recently did the throttle hang fix and that worked wonders, but i noticed a noise, sounds like a leak, when im moving slow and im in a high gear and i punch it. Im curious as to what this little sound is.

also, a constant almost screeching noise(that increases with throttle) is coming from the right side of my engine. It sounds like its coming from the pulleys, either idoler, or power steering.. i figure its from these becasue when i removed the belt, it was gone. If anyone knows anything please help me!!

Welcome .

Check clamps and hoses for vacuum leaks.

Belt screech? Check for worn belt. In addition, check that tensioner is within specs. There should be marks scribed on the cover.

One other item to check, turn the a/c on and then off. To see if the a/c pulley/compressor is the problem.
