When i first took the resonator out i thought it sounded ok, but when i put the sho-shop ypipe on its way too much drone and the rasp is just pissing me off. Can someone tell me how i can get rid of the rasp? Can i put a dynomax strait through muffler or a Dynomax turbo muffler in place of the resonator which one will work better? I just want to get rid of the rasp.

Get the largest resonator you can get. I had the same set up and put a Brullen res in. It droned a bit sometimes but was way better. I've since gone back to the stock y, so there's no drone at all.

I had a res-less SVT exhaust w/ a sho y-pipe and rasped till no end. I put my Bassani on and it was a little better, but after a wile I got tired of the rasp when cold and the drone at highway speeds.

I got the Magnaflow 14415 (I think that's the part #) from Anastazi, it was around $70 IIRC. I am soooo happy with the sound now. It's a little quieter at idle, doesn't rasp a bit, has much less drone, but still sounds like a Bassani when I'm on it hard. The Magnaflow is only 4" round, so clearence is no problem, and it's a straight through design, so you have nothing blocking the flow.

How long is that thing?
