Under hard acceleration I get a decent amount of vibration. It has nothing to do with my speed, simply the amount of throttle I give it. I can cruise at 80 with no vibration, but drop it down a gear and floor it and here it comnes. High-torque situations in 2nd and 3rd gear pronounce the most vibration, which comes through the pedals, seats, and steering wheel. I'm thinking motor mount, but could be wrong. I searched and found some similar posts, but with different variables. Would a broken motor mount be really easy to spot, or maybe not so easy? About how much moola am I gonna' have to fork out to have one replaced/fixed? Thanks in advance.

Which car is it, the SVT or the SE? The SVT is modded a lot and might just tend to resonate a lot at high rpm/throttle. Maybe some fellow 3.0 SVT owners are familiar with the mounts?

I don't know. I'm confused now. I had my gf stand on the gas a few times with the hood up, and I saw no movement whatsoever. But with it in gear, and the weight of the car accelerating I suppose it could still be a mount. Would it be something in the tranny. My thoughts are that if it were an axel or misbalanced wheel, that it would do it all of the time or at certain speeds. But that is not the case, it's at all speeds but just when I put the pedal to the floor.

Could it possibly be in the clutch, slipping or jumping when u apply alot of torque.

I don't think so. My clutch is not very old, and works perfectly. I can't see how the clutch would have anything to do with this.

Are you feeling it only or are you hearing it also? I had a vibration I could feel and a knocking noise taking off and any time I got on the gas, worse on a down shift. I replaced both lower motor mounts the problem went away. You can get stock mounts from Ford or there are a couple of guys on here that take mounts and make them solid. I'm using SVT spec. mounts for what its worth. I've noticed less wheelhop but more vibration. I'm also using the the solid inserts on the front mount. I replaced both my mounts in about an hour and I think the cost was about $140.

Solid inserts? Where did you get those?

I need to replace my front and rear mounts as well on my 2.5 Mystique.
