I have a clunk coming out of the rear suspension when I back up. Its like a bad ball joint would be on the front. looked at all rear bushings and checked for play, seamed ok. any idea what it could be?

Check out your sway bar assembly where the bushings are. Look for it being seperated or torn from the subframe.

Broken coil springs are common also. The back ones tend to break low to the bottom. You may need to jack the car up to actually see where it would be broken. While it's jacked, check for play in the strut mount bushing.

Thank you for your responses.
The sway bar mounts seamed to check out ok, I grabbed the struts and yanked them and came up with no play? I'll look for broken coils.
It seams to happen when the brakes are applied when backing up!?
thanks

Hey Sav!

I have the same issue. Although, I know I need new struts.
