I have a '99 SE 2.0L w/ ATX. When I drive over speed bumps, a knocking sound comes from the right rear (sounds like the strut/suspension area). It doesn't happen as much when I'm in the car alone (I'm 150 lbs), but I noticed that it happens at almost every speed bump when my friend is in the car with me (he's about 230 lbs). Today I had three passengers in the car (each 200 - 230 lbs), and it was knocking at nearly every road imperfection. I've had two mechanics look at it, and neither one could find the problem. It's obvious by the sound that it's not something bouncing in trunk, but is something mechanical. Have any of you had a similar problem?
