OP dremers vision New CEG\'er D Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 40 canton,oh and the big apple ny...	well as the title states my car check engine light keeps poppin up and i went and got it checked out and i was told that it was the camshaft sensor and i wanted to know where this sensor actually is thanks alot.

procyon_dup1 CEG\'er P Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 344	Since you gave no info about your car, I will assume that you have a Duratec V6 since that's what forum we're in. Cam sensor installs into the front cover with one screw. It sits just a few inches below the valve cover. Very easy to replace.

I just changed mine. It's really easy (contrasted to the crankshaft sensor which was a bear!). It's right about here... And down a few inches. Carefully pull the wiring off, unbolt one bolt and pull the sensor out. Replace. (Ignore the flamey stuff that everyone hates) MUST SELL - ECM computer new for a 98 V6 mtx + pats Now trolling in a Red Nissan 4 x 4

Harrry Hard-core CEG\'er H Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 1,651 Down by the river!!	Mine has been poping in and out for a while. I never replaced it. Thought it would be a hassle. It pops for a week , then off after 2 days, after 2 months it pops back on, never came back on again. But now i see how easy it is. i will order mine today to repalce it. I reject your reality and substitute my own.
