This may be a silly question but.. Are the STV mufflers directional?
I was getting new Pontenza 950's installed on my car and since it was on the lift I figured that it would be a good idea to see how hard it would be to get my new Ausse bar installed. (looks to be easy) Did noticed some black soot on the front of the muffler, after closer inspection it was just soot (blow back) from the water drain. The very odd thing was the other muffler is installed in the opposite direction (per stampings and water drain) and has much less soot by the water drain. If the mufflers are directional then I would guess this would cause a major problem..

No. Simple baffled style muffler

They use the same muffler on both sides.

Is that "no" it's the same or "no" it's not the same?

Also just to be clear, I am talking about a front-back orientation not a top-bottom one (Z axis). Example: the rear outlet connected to the intake.

Both rears mufflers are the same and they are not directional.
