OP MLJ471 Newbie M Joined: May 2005 Posts: 4 Hampton Roads, VA	Hey guys! Just recently my car overheated, smoke was coming out near the firewall, also some inside the car. Pulled over it cooled down had it towed, my luck I wasnt near home.. about 40 miles away. Anyways, it's at a local dealer. They are telling me $130 for the heater hose. Is this some type of special metal/molded/etc hose? Or just a regular type hose? For the diag/labor/parts they want $397! Does that sound like about right for a stealership or are they really giving it to me good? Thinking about just cutting my loses and paying them for the diag & having it towed home now. If i'm looking at the right hoses I see them on eBay for inder $20.. thanks!

eepals_dup1 CEG\'er E Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 496 NJ	Not sure if you have a V-6. The most expensive hose is like the one you described. With a discount throuugh Bill Jenkins it cost $35. All the hoses together cost over $150. Your does sound like the heater hoses, they're molded, but weren't that expensive. Their price is high to me. I did all my hoses, taking my time and having to remove the UIM. It probably took 4 hrs.
