im shure there have been numerous questions about this, but i cant find any posts that relate to my exact problem. ok so about 3 weeks ago i was driving and when i came to a stop the car stalld, i didnt really think much of it but then it did it again a minitue later. so i took the car to my shop and scannd for codes, it pulled up a imrc code, so i replaced the imrc 3 days ago thinking it would correct my problem, and still no go! now i know that i could clean the uim and the lim, but i was wondering if there was any other thing that could be going wrong? -thanx, chris-

i imagine you've had the hood open, so this may not be your problem, but something similar happened to me, any time i laid off the throttle, it stalled.

check the big hose on the intake (idle air control, i think) and make sure it's connected. if not, that would cause a stall when the throttle plate is closed.

I had the same problem at one point as well. Replacing the IAC (Idle Air Controller) did the trick.

so i scand the cel again today and all i pulld up was a P0161 HO2OS heater circut fault, i replaced the fuse for the heated o2s about 3weeks ago and it hasnt blown again. i probably just have a bad connection/ground/or bad o2s on that, but that shouldnt cause it to stall unless the cat. is completly cloggd, but it is brand new, so i dont know. im not going to go in replacing parts untill i know for shure what is going on. and another thing, how can you tell which o2s is bad, because the scan tool at work didnt say wich bank it was and it should.....so confused

P0161 = Bank 2 Lower O2 sensor.

Bank 2 Lower O2 sensor
On this 2-D picture, ignore the red box and arrow, the Bank 2 Lower is the sensor on the right of the pre-cat. The arrow is pointing to the Bank 2 pre-cat
