Just wondering if the precats are the same on all v6 contours. As in the same on SVT and SE models....

Yes, precats for SVT and SE V6 are the same, i.e. Bank 1 SVT precat is the same for Bank 1 SE V6 precat. Bank 2 SVT precat is the same for Bank 2 SE V6 precat.
Bank 1 precat is not the same for Bank 2 precat.

Not strictly true.
There are no significant measured gains from gutting pre-cats as far as I have seen. I have also done the mod on 2 V-6 Contiques. The only time I have observed a percievable gain is when the pre-cats are clogged and/or falling appart anyway & getting fouled. If your pre-cats are failing, it is a good free mod to get your car running properly again, but you'll need mil eliminators. If they're not failing, leave them alone.
For a gain in performance, get MSDS headers.

Free!?!?!? FREE?!?!?!?!??! This is not a free mod! After the spending the time trying to get the bolts off and spraying them down and using heat...you break a lot of things around the house to vent....and that costs money

Did both of mine on-car. No problems, & yes, free mod.
