Yeah yeah, I know this is a contour message board... A while back I posted about a friend of mine who bought a 93 Honda Civic EX ATX. I knew it wasnt anything special, but I convinced him to buy it because he needed a car that got WAY better gas mileage then his lifted truck. He wanted it as a daily driver, but caught the mod bug shortly after purchasing it. He set off upgradeing it, even though it was an ATX he is determined to get some power out of it. After putting a Skunk2 intake manifold on, redoing the entire exhaust system, a DC header, and an AEM air intake he just wasnt satisfied... A friend of his sold him a custom turbo setup, Im not 100% sure but its an Apexi kit with a greddy turbo and intercooler. Since his car has an ATX he made sure the boost was low, so it only runs at about 5 PSI, which he will be changing soon. He asked me today to take some videos of it for him, so I made a little compilation video of it just from the pics and videos I took today... The turbo really starts kicking in at around 4K rpm's. It sounds just beautiful. Its too bad we couldnt get it out on the freeway (didnt have time) 
tell me what you guys think, and try not to be too biased, I know its a Honda.

I hope he still doesn't have those clear taillights from the vid, they look terrible. Black vinyl leading to white tails...

I know a kid who took his 95 Civic ATX which stock ran a 17.6, he first the blew engine (D16) then rebuilt it with a turbo. He didnt run an intercooler and ran what he says was 12psi and ended up melting 2 spark plugs. Then after he fixed it he either blew his tranny or threw a rod (I forget and haven't talked to him in a year). He was even telling my buddy with an 01 GT that his Civic would eat Mustangs like his all day long...

that civic would look a lot better if it just was red with si wheels.....and it would be great if it was 5spd.
My friend here in Abilene is saving up for his turbo system right now....he has a 99' civic si with a fluidyne radiator, low temp thermostat, tanabe exhaust, short shifter, CG suspension, UDP, hi-flow cat and AEM CAI.

Could an old 93 ATX tranny handle a turbo?
Seriously. I know if I would beat on my tour's slushbox more without a turbo the thing would die.

hes just waiting for the trannie to die, though that may never happen, it still shifts really well. He wants it too, hes ready to do an MTX swap. All he needs is the trannie to take a dump.
