I noticed searching the web that SVT Contours are cheap in the US. In Canada, you can't find one for less than $8000.
And those ones are beat!
Anybody know how hard it is to bring a used vehicle across the border? I would drive it back. What types of tax,duty and tariffs are there? There are some great looking cars down South for less than $5000! You guys do a great job on making your cars look great!
I don't believe many SVT's made it up here.

they are more expensive in canada cause they are more rare. with the exchange rate that quite a good time to buy thing in US$

Importing the car to Canada is not very hard at all. You have to give the boarder 72 hours notice before the car will be crossing the boarder(ownership has to be faxed to customs) 2)you must provide bill of sale when you get to boarder and go inside to fill out Form1 the pay the tax on the vehicle. 3)Once that is complete you must to the registar of imported vehicle and get whast called form2 (cost $182), then you take that form to Canadian Tire for them to complete (not only Canadian Tire is aloud to perform this check which takes all of 15 minutes). 3) then you go get your safety and emissions test 4) go to Ministry of Transportation and get your Canadian plates  . my buddy just bought one from winnipeg for 6250 canadian with 65K on the clock.
