So apparently back in January when a local Ford dealership replaced a burnt O2 sensor on my car, they did not re-install my MIL. I just noticed this recently while under the car. The thing that I don't quite understand is why I HAVE NOT yet thrown a CEL in 2 months of driving? I know I shouldn't complain since they did not give me any greif about the headers....but honestly it's not hard to remember this thing....and I don't understand why they cut the zipties that attaced it to the undeside of my car when all they had to do is unplug he sensor from one side of it.
I'm going to get my ford delarship to cover it (not matter what they say) since it was the one installed on the O2 sensor they replaced but does anyone know where I can get a hold of any (preferably in Canada) so I can tell Ford where to get them from of I can get a price on one so they can reinburse me?
Ususally I wouldn't complain about something as small as this but at the same time as they did this they gave me my car back with a dent in the front fender and a screw in one of my tires so I figure they have already inconvienienced me enough and they owe me.

Why did you replace an O2 sensor if you have MIL eliminators?

I'm suprised they covered it at all.
I'm surprised it threw a CEL for them to see. Must have just stopped working altogether.

My precats "disappeared" about 4 months ago...no mil no cel. I was attributing it to the chip.
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

You know I never mentioned this, but I've been running the MSDS headers since I had the 3L (4/2001) with no MIL's. So far no CEL or p-CEL...
Its good to see this Intel 8065 doing its job

The program in the PCM, part of the OBD II spec, that checks the cat's effeciency, the cat monitor, does not run constantly. It only runs after certain driving conditions have been met and after other monitors have run. Depending on how far you have driven at a time and such, it is possible that the cat monitor has not run yet.

Evan I got your telephone message last night. Not sure about a Canadian supplier for the MIL's. A US source is Dallas Mustang

Well, I drove to New York State without it....so I just don't get it.....
I'm going to try and get he dealership to replace it and wait until I throw a CEL to put it on.
Thanks for the link Chris.
