Removing the engine/trans to do a tranny swap. I am pulling it out the top and just have a few more things to do and it's out, but here's what i'm having trouble with:

1. How do you disconnect the shifter cables from the trans. Just pull them off?

2. The positive cable for the starter is in a plastic housing and the Ford CD instructions say just pull it out but it doesn't want to budge. Any ideas?

3. The bolts on the rear roll restrictor are really stuck, PB blaster is not working. What else can I try?

I can't help you on # 1 or 2 but I've recently messed with my roll restrictors.

Lots of PB Blaster and let it soak in. Then you need some leverage. I have a pipe that my wrench fits into and it makes it like the wrench is twice as long as it is. Just use it to get them to budge.
