guys im looking at possibly picking up a handgun for plinking and having fun. I am looking at .22LR because no one makes a .17HM2 Auto. I have concentrated on the mini versions of full size guns - the Walther P22 and the SigSaur Mosquito.
Anyone have either one of those? I have heard that the P22 still has a lot of problems. Both the Sig and Walther feel great in my hand.
I dont want people to post up other guns besides rimfire, because I dont want one. I also dont like the look or feel of the ruger MK series, and I want a pistol that looks real vs a long barrell target only version etc.
Opinions?

I've got a Ruger Mk II with the bull barrel, and it's great for plinking. Too bad you don't care for them, they're a good gun

Double ditto; Ruger makes one of the best .22 pistols on the market. They are durable beyond compare, but if you don't like the look or feel of the gun, then there are other quality .22s out there.

+2
I have MkII with the 8" bull barrel: damned accurate. Easy maintenance and fun to shoot.

I'm partial to my browning Buckmark, but it's more along the lines of the Ruger than looking like a mini-9mm.

I personally was looking at both the walther and sig a couple weeks ago both seem like great handguns. IMO though I don't think I would go with either. Reason is, neither fit my hand well. If the walther fits in your hand good then I would go with the walther but when I held it the grip it was far too short for me. There was probably at least a good inch between the bottom of the grip and the bottom of my hand, to uncomfortable for me. However, if it fits you okay then the walther is what I would go for. It seems like a fun gun, especially for the money.

honestly they both fit my hand very well! I just really dont like the price of both - they cost as much as an R22. I really like the R22!!

Is the R22 available in .17 HMR? They fire at an incredible velocity for such a small round. Only drawback is amno is around 9 bucks a box!
