I've searched and searched (and probably worded it wrong), but I'm tyring to find info on purchasing remanufactured half shafts and can't really find anything. All I've been able to find is brand new ones at $300 a piece!!!! Also, would like info on rebuilding the halfshafts ourselves. Any info would be appreciated!

Ummm... go to Autozone/O'Reilly/Advance recently? Read the transaxle area much?

There was a nice discussion on GCK (or something) heavy duty axles being very nice to get.

Or if you want to cheap out, I picked up a reman from Checker once for like $140 w/$70 core.

I would recommend tring to get new axels. I went 2.5 years replacing remanufactured ones and eventually ended up putting Ford ones in to fix my vibration issue. I got mine from Steve at Tousley Ford (number is in a FAQ/sticky of where to buy parts) for about the same price as remanufactured ones.
