OP 99CSVT CEG\'er 9 Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 383 Grayslake, IL	I've searched and searched (and probably worded it wrong), but I'm tyring to find info on purchasing remanufactured half shafts and can't really find anything. All I've been able to find is brand new ones at $300 a piece!!!! Also, would like info on rebuilding the halfshafts ourselves. Any info would be appreciated! '99 Silver SVT Contour (2000 miles since June, now needs new front brakes and bearings) '98 CBR900RR Again (Put away for the winter)

There was a nice discussion on GCK (or something) heavy duty axles being very nice to get. Or if you want to cheap out, I picked up a reman from Checker once for like $140 w/$70 core. I went 2.5 years replacing remanufactured ones and eventually ended up putting Ford ones in to fix my vibration issue. I got mine from Steve at Tousley Ford (number is in a FAQ/sticky of where to buy parts) for about the same price as remanufactured ones. 1999 Contour SVT #1966/2760, Silver Frost/Midnight Blue Koni Kit, Mille Miglia MM-S rims, B&M shifter, Stazi mesh, SFCs, optimized Y-pipe & TB, SS break lines, K&N drop-in, Infinity Kappa speakers, MTX amp/sub
