Since I will have the DM damper installed soon, wondering if anyone has ideas about UDPs for the accessories (not crankshaft)? From other cars that would fit - Demon IIRC you have a P/S pulley right? Any of our budding performance parts guys want to take a crack at this?? If the set could be had for say $200-250, I would be very interested and I think some others would?

David Z has one made by asp for his motor, I wantede one before but when I did the math I'd rather just knock out my power steering, just my two cents.

theres some universal ones in summit, David z told me asp would know which pulley I was talking about if I contacted them, but that was like 7-8 months ago.

I have both a P/S and Alt UDP

P/S from the SHOShop kit & Alt from a 4.6l Mustang kit.

Both are very straight forward to install; just a little time consuming. I recommend air tools for the Alt!

I'm surprised in all this time no one has ask or SHOShop didn't offer the P/S pulley by itself???

The Alt pulley may be had the same way from it's respective manufacturer when contacted with a group buy situation???

Who knows if it's not tried...

Knock out the P/S pump (pressure, fluid, lubrication) from a power assisted rack & pinion??? Not a good idea IMO...

Thanks. I'll call SHO-Shop though I am thinking they would say no - still worth a try. Hmmm, so the 4.6 alt pulley works, perhaps a 4.6 p/s pulley would to??

Single groove means V-belt.

I can tell you the alt pulley I took off was tiny. (have it next to me)
Around 2 13/16" (~71mm)

I know ford makes a larger one than that for other 6-ribs. (IIRC they make 3 sizes with mine being the smallest - early Duratecs (95-97) had a slightly larger sized one for certain - never really looked for the switch date - probably 99 or 00)

I haven't really looked into it since I put mine on. I basically lucked into the piece and was happy at that point... laugh

No as the Duratech's belt is a Poly-V belt.

Has anyone tried ASP? They should still have the specs I gave them, which is a little conservative because of a small bracket that over hangs the pulley.

But its nothing a Dremel can't fix smile
