Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives Forums General Troubleshooting Car stalls right after I start it in the morning ?

My car has done this a few times over the last year or so. When I start it up in the morning it starts right up but then stalls. Sometimes it only does it once or twice and then it idles fine and seems perfectly fine. Recently it has done it a bunch of times and even though it stops and seems fine I'm starting to get a little worried about getting stranded. Any idea what is happening?

thanks I'll check it out...didn't do it today. I don't get the high pitched sound or eratic idle it just starts right up and then stalls unless I keep my foot on the gas. After it warms up a little it's fine. Only seems to do it when it's real cold
