I searched, Even in zetec maintenence I found nothing usefull.
When I take off spirtly i have no hesitation at all in first, but as soon as second hit's and I get int he 4-5k region there is a huge torque surge, the torque just dies, the motor still acceleratates, but the "put you back in the seat" feeling is gone, then it comes back around 5200rpm and pulls strong up to 6000rpm. This ONLY happens in second gear. If I go WOT from a stop in first, I get slight hesitation in second but nothing like when I go 1/2-3/4 throttle. I have a CEL but it's been doing this before I got the CEL (the cel is p0171 (I have brand new 02 censors, though)My car has always had this code)
I've cleaned the MAF, IAC, replaced PCV.. I'm wondering if it's something EGR related.
