Well, carburetors have that pesky butterfly that falls off probably if inverted. Fuel injection cars shouldnt stall if the gas can be picked up,,,airplanes (as in aerobatics) have special tanks to fly inverted,,,i guess if inverted too liong in a car not designed to be so, would crap out due to oil starvation.
Also,,,I didnt think that the Rolls Royce Merlin engines were carbureted,,,maybe only the first Spitfire models. but not the Supermarine Spits
