Not hard, but long, it's also a pain in the butt. However, it is worth doing yourself, just to save the labor charge. Check out Ray's How-to, and get a good collection of extensions for your ratchet.

I tried mine and it was absolute pain in the ass. I did the one on my Zetec which wasn't hard at all. Then came the Duratec, and it was a pain. I finally broke down after tinkering with it for 2 days and getting 1 bolt out (and had to have the car back for work/school) and took it to Stazi.

Thanks for the side-mounted engine!
