Could do that. The code has some bugs in it that I've just gotten used to, so I'd want to re-program it before distributing it.

Well, I'm a spreadsheet novice, so if you're willing to tweak it, it'd be greatly appreciated!! I've never really kept track of the receipts, beyond cancelled checks, so having something like this would be good. Especially if I can apply it here at the shop for my work trucks.

I just keep a piece of copier paper in the glove box. When I'm done, I write down what I did, the date, and the mileage. Any work done at a garage I throw the reciept in the glove box too. I do keep track of my gas mileage by zeroing the trip odometer after a fill up, and seeing how many miles was on the gas it took to fill it, so it comes out totally exact. I just figure it out, but don't right anything down.

I keep all my service receipts in a file folder. That way I have a full record of all work done on the car..so if I do sell it...the new owner will know what work as been done on the car.

I don't keep the service records for when I sell the car (it is nice to have though). Mainly it is for me, so I can decide when it is time for a filter, etc change.

I made a Database file on my computer listing Date, Mileage, Service done, Brand and Dealer. I have this for my '96 Contour and my Ranger truck. A scroll or search can bring last "Serpentine belt" or whatever instantly.
