OK, so last summer my car had an issue that began initially by the tip of my air filter coming off, thus letting "dirty" air into the engine. I found this because I started to hear a humming noise during regular driving that sounded intake related. So, replaced the filter and now the sound remains. Thought it was a dirty MAF sensor, so did the cleaning and the sound remains. Any ideas? I don't have moosing as some people have thought, and it's not throttle related, it just happens randomly (at all speeds and RPMs) and has no effect on throttle response or RPMs. I notice it more with defrost running though. Though I haven't noticed any performance drop, it is quite annoying. Please help!

It is either the moose or the radiator fans (high speed) kicking on. DEF and DEF/FLR causes the A/C to come on (even when it is turned to heat) to assist in drying out the air. And moose usually shows up with the A/C on.

Read this thread and link to moosing sound.
