so i have been doing some pricing for struts for my SVT. and here are my results

FT RR Brand Seller
72.44 72.44 Monroe Senatrac(sp?) Advanced autoparts
78.48 76.88 KYB " "
68.29 82.69 Gabriel(sp?) Auto Value
69.00 66.00 " Autozone
74.80 83.89 Monroe S.T. Campbell Auto(local co.)
124.20 FT&RR OEM Don S. Ford(stealership)

I have some more but i'm not gonna list them. I was shocked to find out how much they cost and those are per sturt. my only question is... what kind of reputasion does Gabriel have?

Not great, I am afraid. I would look at them for my Country Squire, but I wouldn't use them for an SVT. That is likely a stock replacement for a base Contour.

I would talk to Bill Jenkins or Steve at Tousley Ford (do a search) for some SVT struts. It's more money, but you will be a lot happier in the end.

Except for the Ford one (if they looked up the correct ones) are good SVT front replacemnts. The 98.5 and later SVT front struts are stiffer than the non SVT and last I knew none of the others you listed offered the correct ones.
