I've found some of this for the V6 but so far I haven't found it for the I4 Zetec.
Can someone with a Tac tell me what its turning at 70 mph and 75. Thats with a MTX. Also what is the empty curb weight. Thanx

i know at 80mph its just a hair over 3k maybe 3100 rpm's in 5th

3 krpm in 5th should be about 70 mph

nope, speedo reads 3 mph low as confirmed by gps at 70 mph, i hit redline right where it is on the tach also
you do know that the speedo and tach should be at the same angle on the guages in 4th right, you know since it is 1 to 1 drive ratio
also this question has been asked many times before and I have always given the same answer, and btw the duratec also pull about 3krpm at 70 mph

my tach may be off then. what rpm is the fuel cutoff again.

Thanks for the replies guys. Are we still up in the air about 3K being 70 or 80 are can I assume its 3K at 70. My wifes Town & Country has a tac but my contour doesn't.

well redline starts at 6500rpm

i was just out and when im cruising at 70mph my tach says 2600rpm
im pretty sure the speedo is within about 2 mph so i guess the tach is off. ill have to get an rpm hookup for the multi meter and see what it says

funny I asked this a while ago and I only got flames...  Does anyone also have the RPMs for a Duratec (ATX) as well?
