Seems that U-Haul(read: poo-haul) might have quite the monopoly in Canada.

Going to be moving back to Ottawa in the summer, maybe earlier. Need to rent a truck.

Had no problems with the u-haul that we rented a year ago. But I would prefer not to use them again. Budget, Penske and Ryder don't do one-way rentals in Canada.

Here are my requirements:
One-way drop-off
Office in London or really close
15-18 feet long
Able to tow a car on a FULL car carrier
Prefer if the company also rents the carrier too

Any help would be great!

I remember when I moved back to Montreal from Toronto that Budget had a fleet of cube vans available for one way travel. However, since I was in Montreal when my stuff was in Toronto, it ended up being much cheaper to rent a truck (20foot Hino) from Montreal and drive it to Toronto(in a snow storm!!). I don't know if they offered the service to Ottawa. If you can't get a one-way rental to Ottawa but you can drop off in Montreal, let me know. I'm about an hour and a half to Ottawa and could drive you back, provided you supply the Tim Hortons coffee!
I'm always up for a drive!

Discount might do the one-way move thing I'm not sure.

I rented a U-Hell trailer when I moved to KW, and I'll never deal with that bunch of morons again. Next time I'd probably buy a trailer, move, then sell it when I got there. Would be less of a hassle.

Just called Discount, they only do one-way rentals from North York to Calgary.

There use to be a company that did it, but I can't find them in the yellow pages
anymore as this was 10 years ago.
You might have luck searching through the newspaper classifieds for people looking for drivers
to take vehicles to different cities.
That's what this company did, it was a rental and van delivery service.
