Again, my wifes 95 contour 2.0L, 140,000 km. Replaced O2 sensor, plugs, wires, tps to try to correct power problem. Last friday, after changing O2 sensor the car started shifting real hard. The alt belt would chirp coming out of 1st gear and it was still hard to keep power at 50%. Took it to the dealer today ($58.00/hr). he said that the dianostic tester said that I had improper shifting ratio. He had a hard time trying to figure out the lack of engine power but tried cleaning the maf sensor and that took care of that. However, now I get a code around 80kph ( 50 mph ) and it just doesn't feel right ( some slight lunging). I am going to price up a used tranmission but was wondering if a flush and filter change for the transmission might help. Any help would be appreciated.
