I just picked it up today... 2006 Focus SES 5 speed, silver, 6cd changer, power everything. I don't know when the buyer's remorse will stop kicking in, but I am not as excited as I should be; maybe because it's a downgrade from what the Contour was. But the Focus doesn't shake from 50-80, the Focus has A/C whose blower works, the Focus doesn't rattle and creak. So I guess it is an upgrade lol.

Theres not much money for mods, but I will be looking for a good forum to look around in. If anyone can give me any info: cheap mods, forums, etc let me know!! -Nick

Nothing to be remorseful about... it's a lot of car for the money.

lol I know its not that bad, I think I would feel the same way no matter what car it was. I paid 16,084; then took $3000 in rebates, dealer took $800 off the cost of the car, and I put down $2000 so I am only financing about $11,000 or $259/month.

Thanks for the links, I will check them out and see if I can make this car the way I want it. -Nick

Stock Foci are soft and slow, but they have an amazing chassis. You'll have to go FI to get any real power out of the 4-banger, but swaybars and moderate springs really make it handle like a champ. Focaljet's not bad: you'll find a lot of info there!

If you could do me a favor, PM me after a few weeks and let me know what all you think about it. I'm trying to get my mom to get one. It seems like the best deal on the market right now for what you get.
