I don't know about the rest of you, but my car hit 120 easily. I have the Zetec. I could have gone faster but was amazed how fast I was going in the first place.  But the engine felt like it could go much higher. Wouldn't suprise me. All contours are drag limited to 143. Isn't that fast enough????

Duratecs and Zetec top speed, I haven't a clue. But I would think a reg. Duratec would have a top speed of about 135-140mph tops, and a Zetec, who knows, 125mph? That accurate? John

ok im kinda new at this, so i got a quick ? and it might make me sound kinda like a newb...but you all talkabout Duretec and Zetec engines alot, I have a 96 contour sport, i know its a 4-banger and thats about it, so what would I have under my hood, a Zetec or a Duretec?

no, i don't have an SVT, if i did, i'd try to hit that ficticious mark of 170 or whatever it is. plus i was being facetious... so take your bs meter and shove it up ya bum.
