I am buying a new focus and I found out from a co-worker who just bought a Ford that Radioshack employees are given x-plan pricing on new cars. I want to keep my dealer honest, though they have been very good so far, so I want to know if someone can tell me how much of a discount to expect on a $16,500 Focus. Are there different X-plans available, maybe one with a larger discount that one of you guys would be willing to hook me up with?? Any help is appreciated!! -Nick[

I bought mine on the D-plan. Ford never talks about it, but it's available to everyone. My vehicle Depreciated faster than I could pay it off!

Each vehicle and option is different. Here is one example Focus:
2006 ZX3 SE 3-DOOR TOTAL MSRP $16,585.00 X-Plan $15,812.00 Dicounts: Cash Back $2500 Perfect Match $500 Your X-plan Price $12,812 plus TTL.
Keep in mind that tax is based on price before rebates.
A-Plan price for reference would be $15,182 on this vehicle.

A-Plan is what employees and immediate family get. D & Z plans are the same prices as A plan, but for retirees and surviving widows. X-plan is same as supplier price and extended family and friends price.

Wrongo!
A,D, & Z plans are for Ford Employees, Dealership employees and immediate family, and Z is for retired Ford Employees. These are not for everyone. I get D-plan (only 2 per year) and when I give it to someone, they have to have proof they are related to me. Some dealers don't care, but if Ford does an audit and the dealer is caught, they have to pay Ford back all the A,Z, & D-plan discounts.
X-plan is another story, ANYONE can use those. They even have a forum at BlueOvalNews.com for people that need an X-plan.
