Please Dear God don't let this be bad!!!

I just recently started hearing a popping sound on my 98 SVT coming from my passenger side front wheel area(sounds like it is coming from there). It only happens when I am turning left, and it only does it once during the first part of the turn not continuous like a CV joint, but sometimes it is considerably louder than other times. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I am looking at?

Passenger side wheel bearing?

Originally posted by Jay Starling:
Depending on how handy you are, you can check it before you go. Jack the car up on the passenger side leaving the front wheel on. Now grasp the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock. Gently try to rock the tire toward the engine compartment and then back out to the fender. If you can rock it back and forth, your wheel baring is most likely shot. If you put your hands at 10 and 2 o'clock and try to rock it you can tell if it is a tie-rod end. If it rocks and you see the wheel hub move but the tierod does not, then you have a bad outer tierod. If both the hub and the tierod move easily, you may have an inner tierod bad.

Hope this helps.

Yeah I would hope it is not the wheel bearing since I had that replaced once already.
