I just got my arizona dyno chip and went to install it on friday and nothing, car wouldn't even turn over with chip in the ecu. took the chip out and car starts. called adc and they told me to open my ecu and soder four little squares to make my j-3 plug work. so i did and still nothing. my question is has this happened to anyone else or am i just on my own here. the chip is getting sent back on monday so they can reburn it and try again.

did you CLEAN the j3 port?

there's a laquer coating on it to begin with, and if you don't clean it off before trying to connect anything, you're gonna have a lot more cleaning to do, now.

Its most likely an epoxy covering, but still.. removal of that with some rubbing alcohol before soldering, and prompt cleaning afterwards to remove flux will be required. Layered epoxy over the components after proper operation is verified will be helpful as well.

and check your soldering it is very small and easy to mess up. double and triple check every thing.
ps it was the scariest thing having to solder on my computer thinking if you mess something up you are screwed.
