Well it finally happened. I blew the engine in my 2000 Contour SVT at 104,000 miles.

Ford says it will be $4,800 for a new installed motor. I simply can't put that kind of change into the car.

Question is.. what should I do with this car. Should I try to sell it? Or should I put it in my workshop and maybe look at putting in a 3.0 upgrade?

Some guys at the ford garage said they might be interested in buying it as is.. what would be a good price??

Any help is appreciated!

Dirk

Well i say go with the 3.0L.

You can get a 3.0L with half the cost of that installed.
