Okay... you want to continue to ignore common sense... fine.

You want to refute anything ANYONE says with the same sentences? go ahead.

but if you use ONE MORE foul-hearted word to call ANYONE a name (idiots, moron, bafoon.. anything..) and there will be consequences. This goes for ANYONE in the thread, not just you, so don't get all upset with me for picking on you. this is an equal opportunity warning, I'm just directing it towards you because you seem to warrant it the most, or period.

You'll notice that I worded my post very carefully. I could have spouted off some of the same stuff if I didn't take the time to compose myself and my response it would have sounded just as juvenile. Try that next time... it will do a world of good, like allow you to continue to post on here.

I guess the "official" word is that the Contour is average when it comes to reliablity. 5 out of 10. Stupid me, always wanting more than mediocrity. I am done venting cause the morons always come out in force if you don't bow down to the blue oval.

You agreed that you DO have to pay to get reliability in a performance car.

But then... you bring up your Sentra.

You don't consider it a performance car, do you?

So then what relevance does your Sentra have to this topic?

Wow. You can't even stay on point.

Don't stop now. You're on a roll. You do yourself proud: "I need a woman... her initials are BMW" and "...I am starting to doubut my sanity."

No "consequence" that you can inflict matters to me because it is inconsequential to me in the realm of things! You don't have the composure to accept criticism for a material possession that you simply own. This site is one of the reasons I own the CSVT and with people like you holding power on this forum I am starting to doubt the judgement of the owner of the site. In any case you mean squat to me so do as you please.

Boy..............

Where in any of my posts do you see any critique of the CSVT's performance. We are talking about reliability here! What does it matter that I compare it to a sports car or not. Are you saying that sports cars in general are supposed to be less reliable? You're dense.

In the context of what you've posted in this thread, including declaring Ray a moron, you flatter me. You saying I'm dense may be too high an honor.

Your car's reliability issues are unfortunate. Here's hoping the law of averages starts giving you a "make up" call or two. At least on this site if you're patient, you might get some help toward making irritating problems more easily addressed and maybe even render a few otherwise coming your way avoidable.

Andy,

I wouldn't have anything to do "to you" I never threatened to "do" anything to you. I merely warned you that things YOU do have consequences. My status on this forum changes nothing about the platform and doesn't affect your actions. I simply enforce the rules, which were here before I was, too.

Besides, you didn't use any foul-minded language or intent so I wouldn't have any reason to "do" anything to you. you have every right to disagree, and I wouldn't stop that, as you are implying the "powers of this site" would do.

I take critisism better than most, and have my entire life. do a little search on my health status, physical ailments, etc, and tell me I can't take the bad with the good. It wasn't the "critisism" that I didn't take well.. it was the rude language. that, and that alone. I have nothing against your stance on the car. You can feel that way if you want to. the only thing I care to enforce are those things that matter.. like you being at least somewhat civil while you bash others for caring about this platform while you put it down.

There is going to be a disagreement because you guys have a different viewpoint, but that is the irrelevant part. Stay civil, stay calm, and be nice. THOSE things I can, and will, enforce. Other than that: have at it.

I agree that it should be able to go a good bit longer as it is with just normal maintenance if that's what the new owner would chose to do. I never driven a car with 100k+ miles that starts as quick as this one. And aside from that little vacuum leak, it runs great.

It DOES start quick, huh? half a turn on that flywheel and its going. Not even enough time to get your key turned all the way to the "stop" (as far as it goes) of the ignition. a blip would do it for me!

Ever contact Steve about a refund/exchange since the IAC is so new?

I have the receipt!

Wanna talk about nissan reliability and why it DOES matter when talking about performance cars?

Lets talk about the nissan sentra se-r spec-v. It's about on the same level as a SVT.

I have two friends that own spec-v.

One has had TWO new engines AND a new transmission installed. He didn't really rag on it before, but he drove it like a sports car. Now he babies it just hoping nothing else breaks.

Other has had THREE new engines, and I'm not sure about tranny work.

I don't know of any (personally) contour owners that have had to go through multiple engines while still under warranty.

Sure you're base model sentra may be reliable, but it's a lot harder for the manufacturer to mess something up with the base models. They get into performance and of course things become less reliable as more is being asked out of the car.

My base model contour has less (none) little problems than my svt. Both are still plenty reliable. As is my escort that I beat on HARD.
