I know this isn't a Contour etc related question, not even Ford for that matter.. But I know there are some very intelligent people on here that would be able to recommend something performance related much better than I would.

My question is for my brother who recently purchased a very clean 98 GMC Jimmy 5spd 4.3L with higher miles. However, since he got it for less, he was interested in some basic modifications like exhaust and intake. I was wondering, what would possibly be the best (performace/sound wise) setup for him?

Basically what he want's to do is start with a set of headers, then possibly do some sort of true duals. It's pretty tight under there, and I was thinking possibly doing a dual inlet/outlet muffler and having two parellel pipes follow out the stock location. Would this hurt the torque, being not enough back pressure? Would the muffler be suitable in ways like a xpipe would be? What about a CAT?

I would love any recommendations/ideas/opinions, so I would be able to give him some advice!
Sorry for the odd question, figured this would be the best place to post('CI').

Thanks alot, in advance...
