I know that a lot of CEG'ers got screwed by PowderCoatMan - I at least received my parts from him, though I was not at all happy with the quality of work.

I have found a powdercoating place in Northern Virginia that does excellent work. They are a little on the pricey side when it comes to things that have to be masked (UIM, valve covers, etc) but honestly, the quality is flawless.

The name of the company is American Stripping. They have several offices nationwide. They clean the item before coating it and know how to handle all sorts of body parts.

Just thought I'd offer this up as an FYI. If you don't have access to an American Stripping place, I am willing to be the go between. Their turnaround time is generally a week, no more than a week and a half. I got a rear strut bar coated for $55 and my valve covers coated again (thanks to Powdercoatman) for $190.

I post all the time over on newcougar.org, but again, thought I'd share the info with the peeps here!

Not on hand, but I can provide some tonight. I actually have a great comparison shot between PowderCoatman's stuff and the American Stripping stuff.

I also want mine powdercoated. They quoted $150 but they do all the masking and cleaning and such.

being a nationwide company they should know how to clean it properly and throughly. Ensure that they do or else you'll be in the same boat you were with powdercoatman.

BTW, where in NoVA is this place? I think I may have it book marked at home.

They did a fabulous job with my valve covers that I didn't have any chance to clean before I took them over there. I have no doubts as to the thoroughness with which they clean.

The are on Vassau Court in Manassas.
