i recently enlarged my exhaust pipeing by a quater of an inch. about an hour after doing this i noticed that the car shifts out of second gear at about 75 instead of 70 like before. has this ever happened to anyone else. if so explain please

Is this at WOT or under normal acceleration? The shifting has to do with load, RPM, and other factors in the programming. Maybe you should reset your computer. A chip will help A LOT!

I noticed that after I installed the SVT exhaust on mine it seems to shift higher then before. It did that even after I reset the computer.

Yeah, I noticed this on mine as well. The WOT shift point seems to be about 62-64K, which is before the touque drops off for (somewhat) stock motors at least. With the more open exhaust, the 75 shift point should let you get a little more power from your free-er flowing exhaust.

Hmmm I think that happened to me as well. It actually downshifts at higher speeds now. Before SVT exhaust, it would downshift at 29mph tops to re-enter 1st gear. Now it is as high as 31 or 32!
