Hi,

the trouble is not on my car ...it's on my friend's Mystique 1996...

There's no more lights on his instrument panel, but the car start and run....but His illumination instrument panel fuse is blow....we know it's a short somewhere....but I want to know if it's could be a common trouble on these car...and if someone know the trouble and the solution ???

What other lights are on and what are out? Are the rear lights on? Are the interior (courtesy) lights on?
If both are out, could be headlamp switch issue.

If not, could be wiring or connector for the instrument panel or fuse box.

I had that same problem when I first got the car, my dad took it to the dealer and turned out it was a wire rubbing on my aftermarket CD player he put in there for me, it was bare and it rubbed against something metal. Dunno what that had to do with it, but it was it.
