How hard is it to replace the wiring harness under the engine bay in a 98 SVT? Mine is all dry rotted.

I replaced the fuel charging harness under my UIM. Not difficult, having the others being done now under the recall at the dealer.

I saw that, but my wiring is also messed up near the firewall, is that the complete harness that guy ripped out? Is there more than one harness?

I'm having the same issues with my harness. The local dealer would not do the work because it is a 98 and the re-call only covers to 97. He did suggest (and I will be doing this in the AM) to contact Ford directly and plead my case. he said he has seen instances where they will help.
