2 inches, but it restricts down to 1 and 7/8 inch inside the resonator. Also, the muffler is extremely baffled, therefore it doesn't flow very well. If you're planning on going to a custom exhaust, i would recommend 2.25 inch piping with a high flow resonator and a less baffled performance muffler.

2.0L I4 = 1.75"
2.5L V6 = 2.0"
2.5L V6 SVT = 2.25"

SVT is 2.25" single with a 2" resonator then Y splitting to 2" duals at the rear...

Demon -- the SVT exhaust narrows after the y-bend? So for new exhaust tips, I need 2" inlet? That's suprising.......

That piping is small. Unless you look next to a Geo Metro's pipe which is like an inch if that. Anyone know what the muffler in is in inches?

Yeah, it narrows after the split. The exhaust tips should be the same 2" as the split.

If you do replace your cat back with something bigger, the cat exit pipe needs replacing to take full advantage of the improved flow. The cat exit is 2 inch. I had a custom pipe made up in 2.25 with the stock flange. I removed it when I added a custom Y pipe. If you're interested it's available at a very reasonable price. PM me or visit our website.
