When do most people replace their springs and stuts (mileage wise)?

It really depends on how you drive, where you drive, and what you haul on when you need to do it. The struts can wear out as early as 50k miles, and sometimes be OK longer than 100k miles. Springs usually last much longer.

If the suspension feels good to you, then there isn't really a reason to replace it. When it starts feeling worn out, then do it.

The car has 74,000 on it right now, and it feels a bit worn out but not too bad. I suppose it will be decent for awhile

Inspect a few things like the bushings on the lower control arms. If they're badly cracked or separating, then think about replacing them.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I just did my fronts and my car has 73,000 on it. It made a huge difference. I'll be doing the rears next.

My struts were done by 80K ... one of the rears was completely blown ... but then again I live in Michigan so ...
