US129 (the tail of the Dragon) is a freaking AWESOME road.

(that truck site is specifically to discourage trucks from taking that route) I was there for three days and only 1 truck tried to make it through. he did without incident.

killboy sits road side every weekend take pics of Every Single car which drives the dragon. You can purchase the pics later.

I have to agree about auto-x, I just do not enjoy it.

On the other side I love open track days, people who have never been think it is a small step up from auto-x and they are hugely wrong; way different animals.

You BoYz have fun.

There are a decent number of accidents, usually motorcycles, but considering the amount of motorcycles there, as opposed to nearly any other road, it's still not that bad. Cars occasionally go off the side, but the occupants rarely get hurt.

As long as your smart, it's a pretty safe place to drive, and most drivers/riders are more courteous than the average driver. It's loads of fun, great scenery, and you can see some unique vehicles.
