hey everyone one I have A ford contour 1996 2l engine.1) MY battery light come when i hitt the gas and my light dimm and when i let off they not dimm? 2) when it cold or the car not warm it goent want to go any where so it has to warm up? Could it be the O2 senor? 3)I just replace the water pump, I replace the Thermostats and COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR in april 2005 i dont know why my car is still getting hot? 4)I have a Automatic and it slow at change gears should the Transmission fluid be change?

Probably Voltage Regulator on the alternator. Read this thread.

Yes. Change the ATF.
