This topic was kinda accadentally brought up in another topic, but it's a good thought. What kinda preformance gains (if any) would someone get if they do this? And what about if you get a turbo or S/C, and put the SVT computer in there (and of course the custom chip that comes with it), would there be any increase in power? I know the timing's higher (because you guys gotta run 91 octain), so would someone have to run 91 octain in there after this "mod"??
And the last important thing, is would it screw everything up???

Bad idea....some crucial engine components are different and who knows what might happen.

I don't think there will be any gains, but if you make the effort, more power to ya'

The SVT has 19# injectors, while the SE has 17#... that could be a problem right there. Also, the reason the SVT needs 91 octane could be timing, but it could also be increased compression, or any combination of the two.

Not a good idea. Get a chip. Cheaper, easier, and more likely to produce good results.

if you did get the #19 injectors and the SVT cams would it be safe to change out the computer or would I have to do more.

Oh, so his key wouldn't even work...
What about if I put a 3L in there and do the SVT computer, and reset it for new keys (through Ford or someone) would that have any increase in power?
