OP mrtjknapp New CEG\'er M Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 19	all my lights dim and brighten all the time . They dont go all the way off.but the display on the radio doesnt flash at all. any answers? I have a 98 ford contour 2.0

If you are covered, Ford will install a wiring kit (and the headlamp switch if determined to be faulty too). Other reasons for dimming lights could also be the Voltage Regulator in the alternator going down or alternator/battery wiring being loose or chafed. My car has done this pretty much since I got it almost three yeasrs ago, altough I didn't really notice till I got the Indigo gauges and could see the dimming inside the car, it only does it for the first couple of minutes after start-up(appx. 5-10 min.), after that it seems to be fine.
